About Futah
PORTUGAL - our History futah® was born on the Portuguese coast, with a warm breeze in the air and the sun setting over the ocean. It began as a wish to create the perfect beach towel, made for those who valued freedom above all else. We never forget where we came from: Portugal and its beaches were, and still remain, our starting point. Today, we use this Atlantic inspiration in every product we create, blending with Nature and respecting its future.
FOUNDERS: Two sisters, a cousin, and a family trip.Three Portuguese who found in Africa a beach towel that changed their lives and those who, like them, can't stay far from the beach and the sun. futah® was born in 2012 but Catarina, Mariana, and Ricardo are together since they were born. It is with this philosophy of trust that we relate to our clients. After all, Futah is a family business.
INSPIRATION- Our Nature Our inspiration is our Nature, which doesn't allow us to follow the beaten path, instead creating one for ourselves. Our instinct leads us to step aside to move on. With new stories, new products and aware of the future. Being sustainable is not fashion, it's part of our way of being. futah® was created in Portugal for those who value freedom and make it their Nature. Simple. Hassle free. What Nature should be like. futah® is made with a unique fabric, inspired by traditional Arab towels. With the utmost respect for this ancient art, we reinvented the concept, perfecting the composition of the fabric and developing original patterns inspired by the Portuguese beaches we grew up on. The outcome is a light and resistant towel composed from 100% cotton, that dries fast and yet occupies very little space — perfect for hot days and cool nights. All materials used in the production of our products are carefully selected and our factories are certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® guaranteeing the best
